Turn on 2-Step Verification and review your sessions
Add a second step to sign-in with an authenticator app, and sign out devices you don’t recognize.

With 2-Step Verification, signing in needs your password and a code from an authenticator app on your phone. Even if someone learns your password, they can’t get in without your phone.
Turn it on
- Go to Settings → Security and select Turn on next to 2-Step Verification.
- Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (any app that supports time-based codes works). If you can’t scan, type the setup key instead.
- Enter the 6-digit code the app shows.
- Save your 10 recovery codes somewhere safe. Each one works once if you lose your phone.
Where you’re signed in
The Security page lists every browser and device signed in to your account, with its approximate location and when it was last active. Select Sign out next to anything you don’t recognize, or Sign out of all other sessions.
Changing your password signs out every other session automatically. We also email you when someone signs in from a new device.
