Move the pointer over the video (or tap it on a phone) to show the controls. The settings menu in the player lets you change the playback speed, the video quality and captions.
Useful shortcuts
- Space or K — play and pause
- J / L — go back or forward 10 seconds
- Left / Right arrow — go back or forward 5 seconds
- F — full screen; T — theater mode; I — mini player
- M — mute; C — captions on or off
- Shift + N — next video
Autoplay
When a video ends, the next video in the queue or the Up next list starts after a short countdown. Turn autoplay off with the switch above the Up next list, or change the default in Settings → Playback and performance.
Your default quality, speed and caption preferences can also be set there, so every video starts the way you like it.
